MEET OUR VENUES

Batalha Centro de Cinema
Batalha Centro de Cinema’s mission is to promote cultural knowledge and engagement through film and the moving image. Their programme includes retrospectives and themed cycles, with a focus on contemporary practices and the connections between film and other arts. Central to our activities is our wish to nurture film culture, via education, publishing, training, and debate.

Cinema Passos Manuel
Passos Manuel is a mythic place in the alternative and artistic circuit in Porto, it counts with an exclusive and unique program, where one can mix the feeling of the dark cinema room with the cosmopolitanism of the vibe of Porto’s nightlife.

Cinema Trindade
One of the oldest cinema rooms  in town, Cinema Trindade, was re-flourished with the re-opening in 2017, bringing back cinema to the city center. Ever since, one can watch the best indie and author cinema here, as well as the coolest cinema festivals and special screenings with special guests.

Reitoria da Universidade do Porto
Reitoria da Universidade do Porto, set in a grand neoclassical building by the iconic lion fountain, is both the university’s decision-making hub and a cultural hotspot. Once home to the Polytechnic Academy, it now hosts exhibitions, public events, and reflects the city’s rich academic and civic heritage.

OKNa
The place where it all started, being the festival headquarters, main information center and a meeting point for all festival goers. OKNa – From Proto-Slavic *okъno (“window”) – is a cultural center dedicated to providing artistic programming, residencies and educational projects while establishing a close cooperation between Eastern Europe and Portugal. Engaging with artists, researchers, and other cultural actors, the space celebrates CEE as an invaluable source of contemporary culture, researching and curating the New East.

The festival is set to be a safe space where all people regardless of race, gender, social background or sexual orientation can equally enjoy and participate in all events and the vibrant cultural life of Porto.
