Eastern European Film Festival Network

The primary objective of the Eastern European Film Festival Network is to enhance cooperation and collaboration between the member festivals in order to increase the visibility and impact of Eastern European Cinema across Europe. Through this initiative, the festivals share best practices, programming strategies, and technical resources in order to enhance the quality of their respective events. Additionally, they jointly develop and implement initiatives such as film exchanges, talent development programs, and co-screenings in order to further promote Eastern European cinema and foster the growth of the industry in the region. This year, this initiative presents AMARO KINO: a travelling short film programme of Roma filmmakers, in collaboration with ERIAC.

Amaro Kino - A Traveling Program of Recent Roma Short Films

Amaro Kino is a new traveling short film programme initiated by the European Roma Institute for Arts and Culture (ERIAC), in partnership with the Eastern European Film Festival Network (EEFFN) — a network of European festivals that share the same profile as BEAST. This programme brings together recent short films that explore Roma  stories, voices, and experiences — created by Roma filmmakers as well as artists who work closely with Roma communities.
