As a film festival committed to fostering dialogue between Portugal and CEE, BEAST proudly presents the return of its Portuguese Abroad programme - this year highlighting outstanding animated films co-produced between Portugal and Eastern European countries. This carefully curated selection explores a variety of languages and artistic approaches, where diverse styles often intersect to address universal concerns, all while celebrating the unique cultural perspectives of the filmmakers and their international teams.

Emphasizing collaboration, this screening is followed by a talk on co-production, offering audiences the chance to hear directly from the filmmakers about their experiences working across countries to create their films.
