David Doutel was born in the city of Porto in the year 1983. He graduated in Sound and Image from the Universidade Católica do Porto, specializing in Animation. He has built his career in authorial animation filmmaking, working as a director, animator, and producer. As part of artistic and production teams, he has contributed to the creation of numerous award-winning animated short films regularly selected in international film festivals. David Doutel is one of the founders of the cooperative BAP - Animation Studios, where he works as a director and producer.

Vasco Sá was born in Porto in 1979. With rooted ancestry in the northern mountainous region of Portugal, he spent his first eighteen years of life at Trás-os-Montes (Behind-the-Mountains), before he moved to Porto, where he got his Master’s degree in Sound and Image from the School of Arts (UCP). It is in this context that he meets David Doutel, with whom he has shared several projects awarded nationally and internationally. In addition to his directing career, Vasco Sá has been collaborating with the production company Bando à Parte since 2011, contributing both artistically and in production roles. He is one of the founders of BAP-Animation Studio, where he works as a director and producer alongside David Doutel. They are currently working on their first feature-length film.
